Katariya, Pragya. How to Write SEO Articles to Promote Your Website

Your website is not optimized for search engines or picked up by their software/ crawlers for higher ranking in search results unless it is keyword rich. In other words, your content should be informative, unique, and relevant to the subject that your website deals with and it should also contain keywords or the words that a user would enter in the search bar to find the products or services you are offering.

Again, a high quality content of this type, by itself, may not be able to attract the search engines to rank your website high on their first pages.

The question, therefore, is: How to optimize your website for high search engine ranking?

One of the most cost effective or even free methods to do so is to write SEO articles about the product or service that your website seeks to promote. The articles should be published in prominent article directories.

The content of the articles should also be keyword rich, informative and compelling so that the readers are motivated to get more information about your offering. If they are interested, they can click the link/s, also called back links, in the articles that will direct them to your website.

Keep in mind that writing just one or two articles will not optimize your website for search engines. You will need to write and submit articles in article directories to get the necessary exposure.

The more the clicks you get, the higher your website will be ranked. A thumb rule for search engine optimization is that the more quality links a website attracts from the searchers through the articles, the higher the page rank the search engines give to the website.

Writing unique, informative and keyword rich content for the website or for article directories is a laborious and time-consuming job. Not every body has the time or the expertise to write SEO articles that can bring them a high page rank. You can contact content writers who specialize in writing copy that is search engine optimized and interesting enough to motivate readers to click on the links and reach the website to find out more about the products and services.

Nickson, Steve. Poetry Scam - How To Avoid Becoming A Victim

Has this ever happened to you? You dream of being a published writer and can't wait to get your work in print, or you receive an offer that will make your publishing dreams come true.

Then it is important that you are aware of the poetry scam.

This scam preys on the hopes and aspirations of unassuming authors. It starts out by you contacting several companies and then one of them sends you an email to say you have been selected for publication. You are over the moon. However, before you break out the champagne, you should do some research!

This could be a poetry scam. You are advised that to make it to print you usually have to pay the publication costs yourself. You may be so desperate to get published that you choose to run with it. What you could end up with however is a garage full of books that you have trouble selling. An alternative scenario is that you end up with only a few copies that cost you thousands of dollars each, or in some cases, you end up with no books at all!

Scammers are very good at deceiving you into believing that they run reputable publishing houses, and will charge you much more money than it would cost if you self-publish on your own.

Publishers or agents who charge reading fees for submissions should also be avoided. It often indicates they are making money from your fees rather than book sales!

For beginner writers looking for success, the most popular method is to get an agent who will submit your work to publishers. If you bypass the agent and deal with publishers who charge for the publication of the books, they are not traditional publishing houses. These sort of companies are known as vanity publishers or print on demand publishers and are usually not regarded highly in the publishing industry.

They tend to charge very high prices, carry out little or no editing, and provide little or no marketing or promotion of the books. The book quality is generally not high. This is not the recommended route for beginner writers.

A recent variation is for self publishing scammers to try to appear as reputable publishers claiming to charge no publisher's fee to accept your book. Instead what they do is require the author to pay an editor from a list the publisher provides, to get the manuscript into shape. In fact the 'editor' is one of the publisher's employees, and the author's money ends up back in the publisher's pocket.

Avoiding the poetry scam starts when you first begin submitting your work to prospective publishers. Start by checking to see if the publishers are legitimate by looking them up in the Preditors and Editors website. You can also look for publishers in the Writer's Market book.

You should also verify the address of the publisher [scammers tend to use a post office box or drop-off address], and ring the phone number [scammers often don't provide these]. If the contact details such as address, phone, fax and email are not prominently displayed on their web address, look somewhere else to be published.

Join a writer's group such as the Romance Writers of America as it provides the opportunity to ask about any agents or publishers you are considering.

When you finally have a contract, take your time and seek expert advice. No reputable publisher or agent would object to this.

Ajava, Thomas. Bring It To A Point – A Closure Technique

Some people have a problem with starting a story. I don’t. I have a problem with finishing them. I know where I want to go, but getting there can be a problem. One technique that I’ve learned to use is called bringing it to a point. If you have closure issues, it might work for you as well.

I write like I paint. There is stuff everywhere. Okay, and maybe badly. Regardless, the storyline that starts out in detail quickly ranges to and fro like a ship on a storm filled sea form some great Viking yarn. I used to fight it, but now I just go along for the ride and hope I’ll find myself with some great story of value. Sometimes the boat finds the promised land. Sometimes it sinks! Regardless, it is an opened ended form of writing that can go as long as you can write. What if, however, you know the destination, but can’t see how to get there. You need a technique to develop this process in your mind.

The technique of writing to a point is admittedly a simple one. Perhaps it is even infantile. All I know is it has helped me with this issue. So, how does it work? The answer is in structure. Pick a predetermined length of text you are going to write. I usually go with five or 10 pages. Now nail down your ending in a short paragraph. Write it on the bottom of the last page. You know have your point.

The rest of the exercise is pretty simple. Start writing on the first page and practice bringing your story to the final paragraph. Will you will rarely, if ever, pull this off. You also do not need to worry excessively about grammar, punctuation or any such thing. None of these things is the point, pun intended, of the exercise.

To me, a story is an arc. It starts here and ends up there. The point of this exercise is to train yourself to deal with the last part of the arc. You’ve written to the highest part of the arc. Now, how do you bring it back to a defined finish…a point if you will? Frodo Baggins went underground, over water, through marshes and so on. From the word go of the story, however, he always had to complete an arc that found him in Mount Doom.

Many stories succeed or fail in how they close the arc of the story line. Getting from here to there is obviously important, but it is often the last 100 steps that make the journey a success or failure for the reader. Using the bring it to a point technique is one way to practice making those steps worthwhile in your story.

Aversa, Annika. Pseudonyms: Reinvent Yourself

When I first began my online business, I soon learned that it would be advantageous to do article marketing, which meant I would have to write. I’ve always been a casual writer, but the thought of writing for the public activated my inner critic. Each time I sat down at my computer to write an article, I could feel the hesitancy come over me. “What if my friends were reading my articles, what would they say?” “What if I don’t do this right and people think I’m ridiculous?” You know how it goes. I was driving myself crazy.

But, I persisted. My articles were filled with great information that I wanted to share, but the writing was stiff, very “academic,” ho-hum. I knew that I needed to “write from the heart,” but how do you go about doing that if you are thinking the whole world is looking at you? My inner critic was turned on full blast, literally preventing me from writing. After several frustrating days, struggling with each word, I realized that my biggest block could be dissolved if I wrote anonymously. Why didn’t I think of this sooner? I could use a pen name to conceal my identity!

Using a pseudonym has been a common practice throughout history. Some very famous authors have used pen names to escape detection, write about a controversial subject, address a specific audience, and even collaborate with other authors creating a “collective pseudonym.” Sometimes you just need an easier name to remember.

Female authors sometimes create androgynous pseudonyms to gain larger audiences by hiding their gender. An example you might recognize is J.K. Rolling. She wrote the Harry Potter series and felt that her audience (young boys) would not identify with a female author. Other famous “nom de plumes” for women authors are: George Elliot (Mary Ann Evans) and George Sand (Mme. Amandine Aurore Lucie Dupin).

Of course, you know Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) and contemporary author, Richard Bachman (Stephen King).

Using a pen name provides a degree of anonymity. There’s a certain freedom you attain in being anonymous. You can speak freely and “from the heart.” Consider creating an alter ego, a “second self.”

Try this: make a list of first names you’ve always liked. Then randomly flip through the telephone book for last names. Make a game of it. Come up with three top names and then write a sentence or two describing their personality, how they look and how they speak. Then, open an email account in the new name. Sign up for newsletters in your new identity. Build an identity in your niche.

Reinvent yourself with a new name, a new personality. Writing with a pseudonym can free you of shyness and allow you to really speak up.

Would you like more information on building your identity in a niche?

Varanelli, Cassandra. Writing a Personal Ad

A personal ad is basically a way to sell yourself within a limited number of characters. People post personal ads for several reasons. You could do it if you’re looking for friends, partners and even as a way to find the love of your life (http://classifieds.ozfreeonline.com/).

Here are some tips to help you write your personal ad:

1. Use clear, well-written descriptions. Good grammar is a sign of your communication skills. Before anything else, make sure you write your ad as clear as possible. You can use creative and colourful wording, but make sure your reader can still understand what you are trying to say.

2. Be creative. If you want your ad to jump out of the hundreds available in the most online classifieds, then you should mix in a bit of creativity. This may mean writing your ad in poem form, using movie titles or famous quotes to describe yourself.

3. Include your age range. Most personal ad readers want to stick within a specific age range. You could be straightforward and include your real age or you could give a range (ie mid-twenties).

4. Clue them in on who you are. A personal ad is not just a list of what you’re looking for in others. For people to be interested in contacting you, it would be ideal to let them know a bit about yourself as well. This would help the reader determine if you could be a possible match. Include details that set you apart from the crowd as well.

5. Be honest. This should be the best tip for you to follow when it comes to writing and responding to personal ads. An honest beginning would eliminate disappointment and hassles as the relationship progresses.

Katariay, Pragya. How to Write an Article That Attracts the Readers’ Attention

Writing an article that attracts the readers’ attention and makes them read it from its beginning to the end is an art. This is not to suggest that this ‘art’ alone can sustain the reader’s interest if the content in it is not unique, informative and useful.

The art, in fact, lies in presenting the content in such a manner that it makes the article reading an interesting and informative experience. It enables the reader to easily notice the important points of the content and helps him to locate the information he is looking for. Once he finds that he continues to read it till its end.

It must be understood that most readers tend to scan the articles to find the relevant information. They leave them midway even if the desired information has been adequately provided by the author in the article body but cannot be noticed easily.

Here is what you can do to optimise the article from the point of view of the reader:

Paragraphing

Divide the article into small paragraphs. Each paragraph should be devoted to a unit of information. It should have a suitable subtitle preferably written in bold letters. The information contained in it should impel the reader to read the next paragraph.

Listing the content

It is a good idea to present the important points of the content in a list form. For example, you can write: 5 steps to improve your article writing; 10 ways to sharpen your memory and so on. Numbering or listing creates a deep psychological interest in the reader and he eagerly looks for the next step or number. The ‘number’ becomes easy to remember.

Listing helps to organize the content

Listing the content makes it appear logical and organized. Each next point comes up as a consequence or the next logical step of the previous one. It creates a kind of flow in the article from its top to its bottom.

If you find it difficult to write interesting articles, you can contact content writers who specialize in writing copy that is search engine optimized and interesting enough to motivate readers to click on the links and reach the website to find out more about the products and services.

Katariya, Pragya. Tips for Using the Right Keywords to Secure High Page Rank

The secret of securing high page rank on the search engines is to use the right keywords or phrases in your articles. These are the keywords that the searchers are using to seek the information about the product or service that your website aims to provide. Here are some tips to find the right keywords that can help your articles to achieve prominent placement on the search engine results page.

Put yourself in the searcher’s mind

The best way to know what keywords or phrases a searcher is likely to use is to place yourself in his/her mind. You would be able to come up with words and phrases that you would enter into the search engine field if you were to seek information for your product.

Use keywords search tools

There are several free and paid keyword research tools. The most popular and comprehensive keyword research tool is provided by Google. This tool has all the features that are needed to search the right keywords or phrases.

So, enter the name of your product or service in the search bar of Google’s keyword tool. It will come up with a large number of product related keywords or phrases that the searchers have used in the previous month or over the year. It also provides the search volume for each keyword/phrase. This search should provide you with a fairly sufficient idea of what keywords you should use in the content of your article.

Use of keywords in article title and content

Use the main keyword/phrase in the title or headline of the article. Also use the keywords or their variations in the paragraphs of your article content. These keywords will attract the attention of the search engine robots whose job is to select and rank the article.

Don’t overuse the keywords

If you over stuff your article with unnecessary keywords, it may be considered spam. Even the article directory publishers may not accept it.

Writing good articles is a laborious job and it also requires some expertise. You can also contact content writers who specialize in writing copy that is search engine optimized and interesting enough to motivate readers to click on the links and reach the website to find out more about the products and services.

Degerstrom, Jim. Writing Effective Content for Your Website

Website owners who offer a product or service have 5 seconds to capture the attention of site visitors. If you do not write effective website content to quickly communicate the benefits of what you do, your audience will bounce to the next website in their search results. This bounce rate is the opposite of stickiness. Is your website sticky? These tips on writing effective content for your website can certainly help.

Content needs to describe as much as possible about who, what, where, when, and why on every page with very specific key words and phrases to connect instantly with site visitors including search engines. Avoid technical terms in your website content writing that only those close to your industry understand.

Key word research is the best way to understand what people really put in the Google search box looking for your product or service. Guess when writing content for your website and your competition may have the edge capturing site visitor attention and converting them to buying customers.

Those key words should be inserted in website content in addition to each page title, description, key word list, and page headlines or subheadings, also. Including photographs or graphics will help convey the message beyond text, so a gallery or showcase can help quickly communicate website content details and create a more positive first impression.

When you use quality photographs to insert in pages, those pictures tell what 1000 words cannot. Your message when writing effective website content needs to be communicated based on real world website visitor behavior. People land anonymously on a website unlike visitors met face to face, so the decisions are different than walking into a brick and mortar business.

People instantly notice graphics and the overall professional look, and then scan headlines and perhaps a few words in the first sentence of website content in each paragraph. The majority will rarely read your text verbatim. Headlines, bullet lists, and graphics attract attention more than narrative, and that critical first impression is what will get them to stay and perhaps buy after they explore details later.

It's important to touch a nerve in the first 5 seconds to convince people to stay on your website. All they care about learning from your website text content is "What's in it for me if I buy here?". Initially, site visitors don't care about the details of features until they are convinced of the benefits, and that message needs to be presented in shorts bits that can be understood instantly.

The strategy for writing marketing material content for consumers is different on the internet, and similar to listening to a joke or reading a novel, people want to know the punchline or ending up front.

Rather than writing website text content that presents your introduction, features, and then benefits in that order like a regular marketing or sales pitch, writing for the web is more effective when you reveal the benefits and outcome first. This writing strategy for online marketing emphasizes the importance of catchy headlines that capture and hold interest quickly.

People will skip over paragraphs on your website that have more than 2-3 sentences, so write content and then edit to eliminate poetic or flowery speech and any unnecessary adjectives. By all means, do not exaggerate.

Keep in mind people go online for one thing: information. Website visitors rarely will buy on the first visit. Most will visit several websites searching for the right mix of content that best answers "What's in it for me?". Present benefits in the introduction, and you can still use the formula of introduction, features, and benefits to enhance your skills for writing effective website content.

Site owners who track visitor statistics probably notice the bounce rate mentioned earlier. The majority of visitors land on a page and leave immediately without fully exploring your site. Stating the benefits twice on each page will strengthen your marketing message. Maintaining a consistent message on every page can result in more business by writing effective content for your website.

Saunders, Rodney. Article Writing - Quick Results With Minimal Effort

Here is a sure fire way to writing your articles in double quick time, with minimal effort. So fast that some using this method, have written pieces in seven minutes flat. At this point I must add that it did not happen over night, but came with practice. The more you write the better and faster you get.

In order to source your content, think about your subject matter and then write down as many questions that your reader may be asking about it. Put yourself in your readers shoes and look at it from their perspective. What are their burning questions that you could answer for them? Use these as your headlines for your future thought pieces. If you are familiar with your topic then this should not be too difficult to do.

Get yourself a timer and set 10, 15 or 20 minutes on it, depending on how quick you type. Start writing down anything that comes to mind, about answering your headline question. Do not stop, no stopping to read, correct, check spelling, nothing like that. Just let it flow. Having the timer there makes you aware of your goal, that is to get finished before the alarm strikes.

Only when you are finish your blurb, are you allowed to go back and proof read what is there. Over a period of a couple of weeks you will notice that less and less time is needed to finish each article. Your writing will begin to flow and as you go through your questions, new material will emerge.

So having armed yourself with this, why not start to share your expertise with the world through your articles.

Wagenheim, Steven. Article Writing Tips - You Should Never Run Out of Things to Write About

I hear this complaint from article writers all the time. "I can't think of anything to write about." Nonsense! There are so many things out there to write about that there is no reason why you can't be writing multiple articles every single day of the week for years. This article explains.

For starters, there is this little thing called the news. You've heard of it right? It's where all the things that happen during the course of the day get reported. Well, the big things anyway. You mean to tell me that you can't find one big news story to write about? Certainly you have an opinion about some of the stuff that's currently going on, like the economy. Just go to Google and type in "Today's news". The first site that comes up is CNN. Go there and see what's going on. That's at least three articles a day.

Okay, not into the news? No problem. What about regular topics like health, sports, gaming, and so on? Do you have any idea how many different health issues there are? Go on and type in "health issues" at Google. One of the first sites that comes up is WebMD. They're one of the biggest health sites on the Internet. Certainly you can get some ideas for articles just from going there and reading all the different common health problems that exist today.

What about just writing from your own personal experience? Certainly you have hobbies and skills you can write about. I'm into music, games, movies, TV, sports and a whole lot of other things. Think I can't write about 200 articles just on music alone having grown up listening to everything from 1964 vintage Beatles to today's hot new groups like Kings Of Leon? Heck, I could make a living writing about music.

Point is, anybody who says that they don't know what to write about is simply not trying..at all. So get out there and start looking for topics. Dig into your own interests.

Trust me...there is plenty for you to write about.

Mason, Lisa A. How I Wrote 70 Articles in 4 Days

I wrote 70 articles in 4 days and then I also wrote three rewrites of each article to give a total of 210 articles completed in 4 days. I wouldn't normally put myself on this tight of a deadline but I needed the extra cash and a good writer friend needed help with assignments after a hospital stay.

Before I explain how I did it, let me explain more about the assignment. The articles were only 300-350 words each. This is around the average size you will see articles on EzineArticles and other article marketing sites. The topics were pretty simple and the articles did not involve in-depth research.

When I first looked at my assignment, I knew I needed to create a game plan. Without a schedule, I would never meet this goal. So I did the math and discovered I would need to write 17.5 articles per day to remain on schedule. This was also including the 3x rewrites of each article.

So I set up a plan for how I would do this. The plan would also involve knowing how long it would take to write each one and how many I could write in a day. I did 20 articles the first day, 20 articles the second day, 15 on the third and 15 on the fourth day and I finished a few hours before my deadline. Then I took the night off to celebrate (except for writing this article).

To write each article quickly and simply, I used my own template and repeated it for each article. Since the articles were short, it was easy to start out with a leading sentence, follow with some supporting sentences, flesh out those supporting facts and then wrap it all up in a short conclusion.

Geldof, Chris. 3 Tips to Improve Your Article Writing Skills

If you are truly desirous of improving your articles and get them more interesting, then you need to read this article to the end. Look around the web today, what do you see? Low quality content, rehashed and rewritten content, and finally, complete dissemination of misinformation. So, newbies who really know nothing about what they are researching end up being misinformed. However, one of the reasons this is very rampant online is because the writing skills are really poor. Writing good readable articles require three ingredients: Good content, excellent writing ability, and ability to gather good information and weed out the bad ones. The following steps will help you deal with the second ingredient "excellent writing ability".

1. Research your material properly: Albert Einstein once said "If you are going to do it, do it to the very best of your ability". Thus, you have it from the mouth of a genius. Writing articles is not just about dumping your thoughts everywhere without any coherence. Take your time to research the market or the topic you intend to write on. The key to doing this effectively is by visiting discussion boards and forum on the topic. For instance, if you were going to write an article on T-shirts, you would be able to learn a lot more in just one hour browsing through forum posts than just searching online. Getting forums is easy. Just type in the required keyword and the word "forum". For example, "T-Shirt forums". Take your time with it and you will have a lot of information in a very short while.

2. Read Good Articles: This is not just about reading good articles. Study them. Look at their writing patterns. This single key will improve your writing skills dramatically. If you want to read great articles, I'd recommend you look at websites like Yahoo, Lycos, and New York Times. These websites have the very best of articles. There are many other good websites where you can read the articles. Just find what suits you and study. Go through most news websites and just look at their articles. If any grabs your attention, save it or print it and study. This brings us to the third component; the headlines.

3. Headlines: If they suck, your articles ain't getting read. There is just no way, you can separate a good headline from a good article. Take a break right now and go to any news site. Spend some time surfing through the topics and headlines and come back. Did you notice that the articles that grabbed your attention did so because of their headlines? You did not have to read the rest of the article. All you had to see was the headlines and you went clicking. That's what a good headline does. So, learn how to write a good one and your skills would have improved a lot.

Make money online writing articles, yeah right, tell me another one! Is that what you are thinking? Well that is a perfectly legitimate thought, there are so many people out there preying on your everyday people that just need to pay the bills and make ends meet claiming that 1 article a day will make them millions in a week. Well whatever all the claims and the hype is out there I want to show you a few quick ways that you can actually make money online writing articles. Not a million dollars in a week but trust me there is money to be made.

Actually it's quite simple and straight forward but there is definitely a learning curve in article marketing. Basically There are only 4 things you need to do.

1. Find a Niche - Niche is just another way of saying a group of people that have a strong interest and passion for a certain area. For instance a good niche to get into is health. Now that is very broad and you would want to get more specific but that would be a niche that is definitely worth getting into as they are looking to solve a problem and you are the one that is going to solve it.

2. Find a Product - The next thing that you want to do is find a specific product that will meet your niches specific need. A good place to start is Clickbank as they are free to join and offer over 10,000 digital products to choose from

3. Find Some Good Keywords - Go to Google and find some low competition high search volume keywords that you can write your articles on. Look for keywords with less than 10,000 competing pages when you put the keyword in quotes.

4. Start Writing - Here is where many people get weary and give up, don't be one of them! Find 20 Keywords and write 20 articles for each campaign you set up and if you don't make any sales move on to next campaign and do it all over again. Trust me, if you get enough articles online you will begin to see sales but if you stop writing you definitely won't.

O.K, so I barely scratched the surface in telling you how to Make Money Online Writing Articles. Tell you what I'll do, I'll send you somewhere where you can watch a Free Video that will teach you probably the most important part of article marketing. Just head on over to http://www.4-day-money-making-blue-print.info

Bryan, Gordon. The 5 Letter Word That Kills Your Article Writing Dead!

There's something I hear from a lot of people when they are starting to write articles, it's a five letter word that will kill your progress dead in its' tracks - want to know what it is..?

Later.

That's the five letter word.
It's a word that will make the difference between making a full time living online, or not.
When I say a full time living, I mean at the least an amount which equals the average national wage. That's achievable without any doubt, for pretty much anyone that puts in the work.

It can be done almost exclusively via article writing and marketing, which is why it's all the more frustrating to hear people say this - 'I'll write it later'.

I know full well why people say it, particularly when they are starting out with their writing - they liken the process in their mind to writing an essay from school days, and this in turn suggests to them that they need to set aside hours to prepare and get it just right.

There are 2 problems with this attitude, the first being that life gets in the way - the hour you thought you would set aside gets taken up with something else, so your writing gets put back to 'later', and guess what - later never comes!

The other problem with thinking that writing takes huge chunks of time, is that it's just not true!
Article writing is *not* like writing school essays, the process is *not* like homework! In fact the process should be likened to a telephone call with your friend, and a brief one at that!

If you imagine chatting to your friend about the article subject for a couple of minutes - just right that down!
It will have plenty of content, will be long enough, and will flow in a conversational way that makes it easier to read.

Obviously different people take different amounts of time to write, so there is no set time it should take to write an article, but if you simply get started, the process will always be quicker than if you use the killer 5 letter word and leave it 'til 'later'!

Adams, R.J. Earn Money Online Writing Articles

Can you write? Is there something that you're passionate about that you could write many articles about? Or you willing to do a little research to write articles about stuff you might not know anything about? That's all it takes to earn money online by writing articles for others.

The internet is filled with places that pay you to write. Associated Content is one of the most popular places that will pay you to submit articles. They will pay you on a per article basis. They also have a bonus incentive program. If you're able to draw visitors to your articles that you write for Associated Content, they will pay you. In fact, they pay you $1.50 for every thousand views your articles receive. This really adds up, especially if you have a popular article.

There are quite a few other places that pay you to write articles. Some sites, such as freelance websites, allow you to market your skills, and even sometimes bid on projects that other people what completed. What if someone wants to setup a website about fishing and they commission 10 articles about fishing? If you think you can write these articles, then you can contact the person and get paid to write those 10 articles.

Here are some tips to help you to earn more money by being a freelance writer:

1) Always Proofread Your Stuff - I know that it seems the quicker you can bust out an article and submit it, the more articles you'll be able to write, and therefore the more money you make. But if you are submitting sub-par content, you may not get paid as much as you could, or you just won't get hired as much to write content for others. Take a few minutes and proofread your work, and it will do wonders.

2) Don't Sell Yourself Short - Sometimes you may just want a few bucks, so you'll sell an article for a few dollars less than you wanted to. Don't! You'll be able to find a buyer for the article, so don't sell yourself short. We all want to earn money, but if you sell yourself short once, you will continue to.

3) Respect Deadlines - If you are commissioned to write for someone else, be sure to finish within the deadline. Nothing is more damaging to your freelance writing reputation than not delivering on time. Life happens, and sometimes you just can't finish the articles on time, but it shouldn't be a habit.

If you follow these tips, and work hard, you can make some decent money online by writing articles for other people.

Brown, Earma. 6 Common Article Writing Mistakes That Stamp STUPID On Your Articles

Are you making mistakes that stamp S.T.U.P.I.D. on your articles? If you're anything like the writer was you could be making some simple mistakes that block the success of your article marketing program. No worries; now you can put a stop to any S.T.U.P.I.D. article writing mistakes. Here are 5 mistakes and how to avoid them written into a S.T.U.P.I.D. acronym. Put them into action and receive boat loads more website traffic and double to triple times the sales you've been getting.

1. Selfish Mistake. Newbie and experienced writers alike make this mistake over and over again. They focus too much on what they want to write instead of finding out what their audience wants.

Solution: Don't be self absorbed. Discover what your targeted reader wants or needs help with. Then write articles they pass around like the common cold. They will love you for it and read everything you write. To top it off, your reader base will grow beyond your wildest dreams. All because you put aside what you want and gave your audience what they want.

2. Too Long Mistake. New millennium readers are busy. They want information in a quick and easy to read format. If you are long winded, you may be boring as well. You might not get another opportunity to capture the attention of your readers.

Solution: Shorten your sentences and paragraphs to write compelling content. Your article writing coach shudders to think about all the long boring articles that went out in her early days of article writing. So, shorten your articles and began to pull your readers in like a magnet to read your work.

3. Unprofessional Mistake. Professional articles inspire your readers to trust you. In a like manner, unprofessionalism damages your credibility. When your readers can expect a quality well written article to educate or entertain them they will look forward to hearing from you.

Solution: Stick to your good writing habits. Stay professional. Create a professional looking blog or website to host your articles. Do your best with your sales copy or simply hire a copywriter to put your best foot forward. Avoid careless errors. Run a simple spell check and grammar check. Get feedback from your peers or a professional. Don't relax until your well written articles are well-edited.

4. Pompous Mistake. Use simple language. Avoid technical jargon that may confuse your readers. Aim for the seventh and eighth grade level communication. Keep your writing in an active voice.

Solution: Don't bog your readers down with schoolbook terms and stuffy language. Choose words like caution instead of admonish or get instead of garner. Be a friendly mentor with your articles and more people will be drawn to you and your writing.

5. Ignorant Mistake. Continue educating yourself in your field. Read for pleasure and read to stay informed in your industry. I believe all reading is good; it keeps your mind alert and aware to ideas.

Solution: With any piece you're working on check your facts for accuracy. Don't just take someone else's word for it. Live your life to the fullest; learn from your successes and failures. Then share your experiences with your readers through your articles. Write from the overflow of your life.

6. Dud Mistake. Get rid of dud (failure, flop) writing. Dud writing will show up in your titles, headings, bullet points and even your lists. Dud writing will make your writing dull, flat and boring. You may be guilty of dud writing if your site visitors are leaving in less than 2 minutes.

Solution: Fire your dud titles and hire sizzlers that bring attention to your articles. Sizzler titles and headings will reach out; grab your audience by the eyeballs and compel them to read. They will pull your reader in for the read with curiosity, shock, humor, perplexity or a big claim that delivers within your article.

Without smart article writing that gives your audience what they want, short and compelling, professional, simple, informed and exciting, your articles could go another month with less readers than they deserve. Implement the tips above to capture the interest of your visitors and get all of your articles read. Avoid the S.T.U.P.I.D. mistakes above; watch your reader views rise and your bottom line soar!

Don't wait any longer! Remember, there's an Information Revolution raging online. Why not jump in before it's too late. Do you need additional help to write your smart articles that avoid any S.T.U.P.I.D. mistakes?

Cole, Janet B. Article Writing For Money - Articles That Pull in Readers

I regularly monitor the conversion rate of my articles. It is important for me to know how many subscribers I am pulling from each and every article and the one fact that I have learnt is that some article out perform certain others by hundreds.

The articles that pull in the highest number of readers are those that are written in the form of a list. What I mean by that is that I write an introduction, and then the body of the article. But the body is made up of a list such as 1, 2, 3 or a, b, c. And the title for this type of list article is usually "How To....". For instance "How to generate a higher income next month", or "How to out perform your competitors". Etc.

You see these "How To" articles are written in a reader-friendly format, that is the list format. The reader can grab the information that they require from the written work and take away a few valuable pointers.

So some good advice would be to create "How To" articles and write them in a list format.

Another important factor about writing a "How To" articles is that the article gives the reader the impression that you are the niche expert. If you can show a reader how to accomplish a specific task via your article then you must be someone to take notice of.

If that reader then goes away and carries out your instructions and they achieve the desired result then your credibility soars and they remember your name and your website address.

Then whenever they require additional information on your topic they will visit your website first.

Back to your articles.... Now another important fact to note is that when you are writing a "How To" articles you have the readers interest in mind and not your own. So that article will more than likely be an informative article and not one that is trying to sell or promote something.

And finally the last major benefit of a "How To" article from a writer's point of view is that they are so much simpler to write.

To produce a "How To" article you need to write some steps of how to achieve a specific task. Let's say five simple steps. You make of note of the five simple steps. Then you write an introduction for the article stating that you intend to show them the five steps to achieving a task. Then your write each step. Go into details about each step. If you can write 100 words for each step then that's great.

Then at the end your draw the article to a conclusion by repeating in summary format what it is you have just said. It's so easy.

Jarrett, Jinger. How to Earn $150 a Day Writing Articles

Although I've tried a lot of different internet marketing techniques over the years, as well as a lot of different ways to make money, nothing has made more money for me than bum marketing.

Bum marketing is an affiliate marketing strategy created by affiliate marketer Travis Sago. (Sago wrote a course on how to do this.)

It wasn't until I read James Brown's "First Money Secrets" that I actually heard of this. After buying and reading his ebook, then I started making some real money online.

The principles outlined in this ebook really are simple:

1. Choose 3 - 5 products on topics you are interested in.

2. Write articles on these topics and submit them to article directories.

3. Include a link in your resource box to an affiliate product related to your topic.

4. Write as many articles as you can. The more articles you write, the more money you will make.

What I liked to most about this ebook is that it really is a complete system. It walks you through the process of choosing keywords, as well as products, and how to get your articles written quickly.

Brown also includes three bonuses in the package:

Turbo Affiliate Linker Software

Bum Marketing Keyword Lists

How to Think Like A Marketer

It really doesn't matter if you are a writer or not either. If you can write a grocery list, or any kind of list, then you can write articles. (They don't have to be long or involved. Your articles simply need to communicate to your readers something they need to know.)

Another thing I liked about this ebook is that you don't need a website or a list. Although some article directories will require you own a website, Brown shows you how to get around this.

The bottom line is that this system is easy. It won't blow your bank account like pay per click, and you will make money provided you can read and follow instructions.

You can write articles on just about any topic, and you will do better if you write about things you are interested in. The section on keyword research will show you how to find the right keywords though, so you'll be able to get high rankings in the search engines with your articles. This means even more traffic for you.

This is not just an internet marketing strategy though. It's a complete business strategy. Once you learn how to do it, you can make money online. You won't become a millionaire, but you will be able to quit that day job.

Manous, Brian. Article Writing - A New Perspective

Most website owners learn quickly that article writing is an essential tool for promoting their site. Being the owner of an article directory, I review article submissions and have developed a whole new perspective on what a good article should or shouldn't contain. Hopefully my perspective will aid writers in developing articles that are appealing to the reader.

Writers sometimes seem to forget that their articles can provide benefits beyond search engine ranking. A search engine doesn't care about content or intelligibility but readers do. An article placed in prominent directories can receive a considerable number of views if the title and description are enticing. Once enticed, your article must keep the attention of your reader focused throughout the entire article. The resource box at the end of your article is like your pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. If you have given the reader good information and properly stimulated his curiosity, then he will visit your site. Congratulations, your writing skills have just accomplished what you wanted a search engine to do. Make certain you write articles that are intriguing and easy to read. Embrace the reader's trust by giving them the informaton they came looking for. If the reader finds what he is looking for and has a pleasant experience in the process, he is likely to visit your site.

In today's world people are bombarded by information. Our attention span grows shorter each day and as a result your article has to be immediately engaging. Anything that requires your reader to stop and think about what he has just read will likely stimulate him to move on. If this happens, your resource box may as well be on another page. With a quick scan of the title and first paragraph, I can generally determine the quality of an article. A first sentence that should have been three or four sentences, or at least had a few commas, lets me know immediately that I'm in for a tough read. Save some of your information for the rest of the article. If you tell me everything I need to know in the first sentence, then why should I read the rest of the article? Make your opening sentences concise and intriguing. Compel your reader to read the rest of the article.

Adjectives and adverbs are a great tool as long as they are used correctly. There should never be three or four adjectives or adverbs for a single noun or verb. In most cases a single adjective or adverb will do a better job. Suppose I told you this was the best greatest most magnificent and outstanding article ever written. (Sorry, I almost lost you didn't I?) Obviously, "best" is the only adjective I needed. By definition, there is no better than "best". Believe it or not, I review a lot articles that are packed full of redundant, confusing and boring adjectives and adverbs. Avoid this mistake, use the correct descriptive word and your reader will get it. Any more and you'll loose your reader to boredom or even worse a lack of confidence in your abilities.

I plan to continue this advice in additional articles, but in the meantime, consider the following:

1. Do not use run on sentences.
2. Comma's are free. Use them. Readers seldom have the patience to figure out what you're trying to say.
3. Use the correct descriptive words. Adding descriptions to descriptions will cost you your reader.
4. Use proper grammar. If necessary, get help.
5. Check your spelling. Watch out for software that fills in words for you. Type in "ant" instead of "and" and everywhere you meant to have the word "and" you will find the word "ant".

Put the reader first. Make your articles intriguing, informative and easy to read. Your reader will reward your efforts with a visit to your website.

Make Money Online For You. Writing Opportunities For Freelance Writers

Writing opportunities are all over the internet for freelance writers of every sort. If you are interested in advertising and have a great way or turning something ordinary into something extraordinary then you might do well with a copywriting position. You could even try your hand at writing E-Books or creative writing for websites. Creative writers often do very well working on blogs.

Freelance writers are a dime a dozen but there are not as many good ones out there as you would think. The many writing opportunities often go to writers who have far less talent than you. You have to continue on and if you are one of the good ones you will make a name for yourself and eventually have a large list of clients.

Once you have established yourself you will have an over abundance of writing opportunities and may even need to hire a few good freelance writers yourself.
With search engines demanding that a website have fresh and unique content in order to be viewed as the top dog in the search results there is no wonder so many writing opportunities popped up for freelance writers.

Your writing services are needed and wanted by many companies on the internet. You have to find the ones that you are matched for and you will never have a decline in your workload. The better you are the more you will work, so if your fingers are not cramped you might want to bone up on your talent.

Philander, Godfrey. Articles Are The Most Immediate Way To Your Clients Wallet.

One manner of encouraging your internet-location and product may be achieved at no charge. As an further and added bonus, this “free” method may boost your internet sites and sales, doubling and even tripling your income.

Articles. One of the most easygoing ways to publicize your internet-location in order to generate traffic and increase your profit.

Write articles relating to your internet-location and submit them to “free content” submission internet sites. Easy to do, takes small time and may increase your internet-location traffic, sales and naturally, your income.

How may article writing boost traffic and income?

The article on the free content internet-site holds a link to your own internet-location. Readers, after reading your articles, can choose to click on the link and pays you an unexpected visit. Having them on the free content internet sites is similarly making these articles available to other webmasters who can wish to publish that article on their internet-site.

If they do, your article will include a link back to your internet-site. And any person who reads the article on that internet-site may still click on the link to visit your internet-site.

As the list of your published articles grow bigger, and progressively of them are appearing on dissimilar sites, the total number of links to your internet-site increments similarly. Major search engines are placing some signification on incoming links to sites so they may find out the quality of being important of a sure internet-site.

The more incoming links the internet-location has, the further importance search engines attaches to it. This will then increase your website’s placement in the search results.

If you internet-site is into encouraging a product or service, the links that your articles have achieved will mean more prospective clients for you. Even whether or not visitants only browse through, you never recognise whether or not they could just be in need of what you’re supplying in the future.

There are similarly those who already have particular things they need on their mind but can’t determine yet among the a lot of selections online. opportunities are, they can stumble upon one of your articles, gets curious by the contents you wrote, go to your internet-site and became enticed by your promotions. See how easy that is?

Search engines don’t just index the sites, they similarly index published articles. They similarly index any article that is written when it comes to your own website’s topic. So once an individual searches for that same topic, the list of results are going to have your internet-site or can even show the articles that you have written.

And to think, no crusade on your portion was utilized to fetch them to your internet-site. Just your published articles and the search engines.

You have to insure that each and every article is unique and one of the best places to get factual information is Google Scholar. You can get away. Yes, walk away from it right now. The walk doesn't have to be long just short enough to get some air in the brain. Body movement creates circulation in your body and that will allow you to get writing back at the computer.

You can set the music on to classical. Hey even if you don't like classical music listen to it anyway. Make the decision to either listen to the music or back to writing articles. That might be enough to get you going again.
